Welcome To The Waycaster Firm

Nestled in the heart of downtown Dalton is The Waycaster Firm. My firm represents clients in a wide range of personal injury, workers’ compensation, Social Security Disability, business law and mediation cases throughout northwest Georgia. I bring 40-plus years of experience, and I have personally represented clients in over 25 counties in Georgia, as well as in federal district courts in Rome, Atlanta and Gainesville, Georgia. I am proud to lead a team that is dedicated to meeting your needs and expectations at every chance.

Four Decades Of Trusted Advocacy

I am attorney Leslie Waycaster, and I have been practicing law in Dalton, Georgia, since July 1980. I attended undergraduate school at Georgia State University and law school at the University of Georgia. I am admitted to practice in all Georgia trial and appellate courts. I am also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the 11th and 4th U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.

I have an AV peer-review rating* through Martindale Hubbell, the preeminent lawyer rating service in the United States. An “AV” rating is the highest rating in both professional ability and ethics. I have served as the president of the Conasauga Judicial Circuit Bar Association, as well as a regional vice president for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. I have also served on the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors.

I focus my practice in the areas of personal injury (vehicle collisions, defective products, professional malpractice and slip and fall), business litigation and mediation. I have tried approximately 100 jury trials and handled cases in excess of 25 Georgia counties. I have also tried numerous cases in federal courts of Georgia.

While I have represented clients in hundreds of personal injury cases, my diverse experience also includes trials involving breach of contract, fraud and violation of state and federal racketeering statutes and violations of the federal wiretapping statute. The verdict I received in a medical malpractice case in Madison County, Georgia, was the highest verdict in that county at that time. I have also assisted other attorneys in class actions involving the failure to pay overtime wages and another involving the failure to properly compensate poultry farmers.

Everyone Deserves Quality Representation

“I have been fortunate to represent a lot of good people who had bad things happen to them. We have had cases which resulted in awards of large sums of money, but we also take cases of smaller value, if we think we can help someone. If we cannot help that person, we try to find someone who can.”      – Leslie Waycaster

When not practicing law, I enjoy traveling, riding just about anywhere in some kind of boat, and spoiling my granddaughter.
